Louisiana Old State Capitol

I was in Baton Rouge this weekend, and I ran by the Old State Capitol building. No
tripods are allowed, so I had to jack up the ISO and shoot wide open,
along with bracing myself against anything I could. The 5D keeps amazing me at it's high ISO performance. These were taken at ISO 1000-1250.

Latest Swamp Fire Victim

Background info: There is a stretch of road on my way to work (Hwy 11, New Orleans) that runs through Bayou Sauvage. This road is notorious for burned out cars mysteriously appearing. Therefore, we say the "Swamp Fire" got another victim.

Speed, Up Close

Here is an up-close view of the gauges in my Lexus IS300. I really like this perspective... to me, it gives the gauges a three dimensional appearance.

Mississippi River Bridge

This is a 30-second-long exposure shot of the Mississippi River Bridge(s) in Vicksburg, MS. As you can probably tell, the old bridge is on the right. In this shot, I am looking toward the Louisiana side.
